Ecosystem

Along with the first movement, a sense of order is preserved to communicate the balance of a healthy ecosystem, prior to climate change damage. Focus is on the energy of lifeforms, with the way the rhythm and melodies jump and move with each other. The normal occurrences of rainfall are heard from the gentle falling patterns played on a celesta instrument.

​Thunder and lighting are heard with the rumbling bass drum and the sound of cymbals being hit. Yet this is heard in a natural and ordered way, instead of the threatening extreme weather heard in the third and fourth movements. As with Landscape, the music aims to provide positive emotions associated with nature and the music continues the flowing atmosphere.
